I hope that all of our tips and tricks have been very useful for you during this quarantine time; so you can enjoy your time at home know you have a clean house, not only of mud, dust, and bacteria but also of harmful chemicals. That is why today I wanted to list some of my favorite green cleaning products because one of the best ways to kill time during this isolation period we’re facing it’s definitely cleaning. It’s not only good for your house or your family but also for your mental health, believe it or not.
So, if you are looking for that spring cleaning level in your home, let me show you some of our favorite natural cleaning products there is, they’re eco-friendly and plant-based, definitely what you’re looking for in a healthy cleaning product. Some of these products I would take with me when I’m doing cleanings at customers home or place of business and others are some that I also use at home, they’re really good and very accessible.
First of all, I have Simple Green, is an Industrial Cleaner and Degreaser, Concentrated, it works as a multi-purpose cleaner; is biodegradable and non-toxic, nonabrasive and non-flammable so it’s very safe to use if you have children. You can use it to remove and clean grease, many kids of stains, heavy dirt, and it’s great for any washable surface including countertops, sinks, tile, carpet, and many others. Personally, I like to use a spray bottle to mix a few ounces of the product with water, and this way it can last a really long time; it’s still very effective because it’s concentrated.
Another product that I use a lot, you can even find it in one of my previous videos about making your own linen spray, is Dr. Bronner's; it’s made with organic oils from the tea tree and it’s 90% organic ingredients. It’s a liquid soup useful for a whole bunch of different things (18in1), so it’s one of those must-have cleaning products in your house, it’s also a very popular product among those who are looking to go all green in their lives. It’s also fully biodegradable and uses all-natural, vegan ingredients that pose no threat to the environment and because it’s three times more concentrated than the regular products you can also dilute it and extend its use for longer periods of time, saving a lot of money.
You can use this product as an all-purpose cleaner, but also even shave and shower with it, it really has no limits. If you don’t have one, you should definitely have at least one in your home.
One product that I started to use recently is Love Home and Planet Dish Soap, and you have to admit that just the name makes you think of a cleaner and natural things; it’s vegan, gluten-free and, cruelty-free; it does make you feel that your loving both your home and the planet, without sacrificing the cleanse of your dishes. So far it has been doing a great job in my house and I’m really happy with it, it also has a great smell and the bottle is also recyclable so it goes well with our vision in Kaye’s Natural Cleaning, LLC.
When it comes to sprays, I like to go with Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner, it’s a quick and easy way to clean surfaces and also refresh them to get rid of bad odors; you can also use it as a floor and tile cleaner, and even walls. If you’re someone that is sensitive to fragrance or maybe someone in your house whole is, this one is a good option for you because it’s very light, not overwhelming at all. This product I normally use at home.
Of course, I couldn’t make a list of my favorite products without adding some of my own to the list because I really believe they are that good, you can find them in my online shop. I use this one on a daily basis and it’s my Granite/Marble Cleaner. It has a nice smell, it’s also very light instead of being invasive, I like to mix lavender and lemon together and, as you may know, it comes in a reusable Amber -Boston glass bottle. I used this cleanser in the bathroom because it’s antibacterial, but I also use it on mirrors and windows and it works like a charm.
Another one of my products that I really like is my Multi-purpose Cleaner, it works in almost any surface, but because it has vinegar you cannot use it in granite or marble and that’s why we have a dedicated product just for those surfaces, even though you can use it, as I said, in your bathroom. The multi-purpose cleaner also has a lemon-lavender scent.
Now, for the floors Method’s Squirt and Mop Hardwood Floor Cleaner it’s one of my favorites as well, it works great on wood floors; they also have a floor cleaner for regular floors and it’s just as good. I really love how it smells and several of my clients also love it as well because it leaves you that fresh scent of a clean home that everyone is looking for. Personally, I use this product with my steam mop adding a little bit of water, so I can assure you that it works the same and it will last you longer. Both products are plant-based and organic.
Finally, another great product for cleaning your bathroom is the Method’s Bathroom Cleaner, I think the bathroom is just a very important space to maintain clean and odor-free, and having good green antibacterial cleaning products it’s quite crucial. So, this product is one of my favorites because it works in tubs and showers, and it’s great when it comes to soap residues, it helps you remove those very easily. I also like Method’s Antibacterial Toilet Bowl Cleaner because like I said, you want something that really makes the bacteria go away and leave you with a clean and fresh sensation without the dangerous chemical ingredients.
